Obopay India is committed to the preservation of confidentiality, integrity and availability of its Information and Information resources by protecting its information assets. Obopay India strives to provide a secure environment to enable processing and/or storage of information as well as to deliver services to its clients.
Obopay India takes the security of customer data very seriously. We protect all Obopay customer data against unauthorized transactions and use advanced security technology whenever possible to prevent unauthorized access to customer data.
Report an unauthorized transaction
Transactions between existing Obopay customers are equivalent to exchanging cash and can only be cancelled if unauthorized by you. If this is the case, call your bank's customer support immediately.
How we provide security
When using the Obopay India service protection against unauthorized use is provided through PIN-based authentication. Users must enter the PIN when sending or requesting money using Obopay India service from their mobile phones.
Additionally, all data transmitted via the Obopay India service is protected by advanced security technology against unauthorized access. To provide this level of security, Obopay India uses multiple layers of advanced encryption algorithms so that transmitted data cannot be intercepted or compromised. Encryption technology is used for securing transactions between the mobile application and a user's bank account and for securing data transmissions over the cellular network.
Customer Service Correspondence
If you send us correspondence, including e-mails and faxes, we may retain such information in the records of your account. We may also retain customer service correspondence and other correspondence from Obopay to you. We retain these records in order to measure and improve our customer service, and to investigate potential fraud and violations of our User Agreement and to otherwise protect Obopay's legal interests and the interests of others. We may, over time, delete these records if permitted by law.
Non-Customer Recipients and Requests
When a Customer sends a payment to, or requests a payment from, an individual who is not a registered member of Obopay India, we will retain the information that the Customer submits to us, including, for example, the other party's phone number or email address and/or name, for the benefit of the Customer who is attempting to contact the non-Customer, so that the Customer can see a complete record of his/her transactions, including incomplete transactions. We will contact the non-Customer to inform them of the transaction or referral. Additionally, these non-Customers have the same rights to access and correct information about themselves (assuming that their email addresses were correct enough to reach them) as anyone else who uses Obopay India.
Sharing
Obopay India will not sell or rent your personal information to others for their marketing purposes. Information obtained from third parties and linked with your personal information is safeguarded by confidentiality agreements and to the extent required by law.
When we partner with another party to provide specific services, and a customer signs up for those services, we share only the contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide such services. Obopay India will not share or give your personal information to others unless in the rare case that Obopay India believes it is necessary to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities or similar legal request including the protection of our rights or the rights of others. In addition to collecting and archiving application and transaction data from customers and consumers, Obopay India also retrieves supplemental data from third parties to facilitate operational decisions and monitoring. Once the information is retrieved from third parties, it is archived using reasonable security measures. Merger or Sale of Obopay India
